I’ve been doing mobile since 1998 in various incarnations. The mobile world has changed a lot since those early days, but it really got interesting in the last couple years. Really since January 7, 2007, to be exact. While mobile was growing up, so was I, professionally that is. I learned to how to be successful in a variety of marketing related areas, social media, web, eCommerce, direct marketing, public relations, and much more. I built deep technical knowledge, even coding mobile apps on occasion for both iPhone and Android. I’d say my success in mobile stems from my success in other marketing disciplines, and from my understanding of the underlying technology. And now everything has come full circle. It is so exciting that I’d like to write about it. I have given many presentations and interviews on tech and marketing related topics including mobile, eCommerce, and social media, but this blog gives me an ongoing outlet to chronicle the growth of mobile marketing and what I believe will be the greatest marketing channel ever created.
